Greetings Reader,

Before I jump into what I really need to say, let me set the scene, because whether you watched the whole thing live, caught the recaps on social media, or have no idea what I’m talking about, this message is for you.

Over the weekend, a well-known internet marketer named Alex Hormozi hosted what some are calling “the most brilliant online event of the year.” Big lights. Big numbers. Big promises. The whole internet lit up like the 4th of July.

He stood on his virtual stage and 'gave away' a free business training designed to build massive attention, convert millions of eyeballs, and promote the next phase of HIS empire. And, on the surface, by all 'traditional' standards, it worked.

Folks have been calling it “game-changing,” “iconic,” and “next level.”
But here’s the thing, and this is where you and I need to have a real conversation…

Whether you were fully tuned in or just now hearing about it for the first time, what matters most is not what he did. It’s what it’s revealing about this industry, about the power structures behind the scenes, and about the way so many women are still being glamoured and groomed to play roles in someone else’s success story.

So let’s talk about that.

Because while the world was clapping for the show…I saw an old recycled pattern, and I want to make sure you see it too, before you end up glamoured by something that was never meant to include you in the first place.

My social media DMs have been jumping with messages from women entrepreneurs who are familiar with my work, and a few came from people I deeply respect, all asking the same thing: “What do you think about that Hormozi event?”

As a 5/1 emotional generator, I had to sit with my initial feelings. I watched what I could stomach. I listened within. Reflected.

...and now, I'm ready to share my thoughts, so I need you to hear this deeper than surface level, because if you're in my community, you're not just another entrepreneur watching from the sidelines.

You’re building something real. Something sacred. And you cannot afford to be glamoured right now.

🚨 THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO BE GLAMOURED. 🚨
If you’re a woman solopreneur, especially a Black woman, who is a coach, consultant, professional service provider, or expert in your field, and you’re currently earning less than $1M/year, I want you to pause.

Take a deep breath. Lean in, and listen.

What I’m about to say will challenge you. And it should.

I’m not in this work to stroke egos. I’m in it to help women like you break free from the patterns that keep healing, brilliance, and profits caged inside life and business models that were never meant for us to thrive in.

Beyond the Dopamine Hits...

If you got pulled into the spectacle, if you got a dopamine hit and felt that buzz of excitement watching it all unfold, I get it. That kind of mass appeal and perfectly timed marketing can feel hypnotic.

As a matter of fact, it's designed to do just that - hypnotize you.

I’ve been in this space, the transformational coaching, business consulting, online info-product, thought leadership space, for over 25 years. And what he did is not a new play!

It’s a looped 'money grab'. A cyclic play that resurfaces every few years like clockwork. A pattern...and tons of people fell for it.

This time, the marketing was fancier. The personality slicker, the technology faster. But the mechanics? Same ol’ thing.

Why do I care?

One of the questions that I kept getting from women who are familiar with my work wasn’t about the marketing strategy or production value. It wasn’t even about the 'offer'.

It was this: “Why do I think a woman in THIS space hasn't garnered the attention, affiliates, influence, and record sales in a short period of time as some of the men?”

Ladies, let me give you something to really sit with and contemplate…

The 'bro marketing' ecosystem itself was never designed with you in mind.

Do you truly believe that the same 'bro marketing' ecosystem built by, for, and around the success of men, especially white men, and INTENTIONALLY structured to exclude, extract from, and work against you, is now suddenly prepared to elevate, honor, and make room for the kind of feminine brilliance you bring?

Their systems were built to keep you drowning in self-doubt, running in circles chasing the next shiny thing while applauding the men at the top.

And yet women were still asking me such questions.

There is a reason there was only ONE woman on his panel — HIS WIFE!!

Speaking of 'wives' - during his marathon event, he even said that the only reason she (his wife) didn’t pull the numbers or get the attention that he does is because she’s a woman and he’s a man.

DIVE DEEPER, and THINK about what's not being said there.

Ask yourself, how much of HIS numbers and attention have been quietly built and paid for with the unlimited amounts of HER time, HER energy, HER intellectual property, and HER leadership that go into building HIS brand/name?

How many women have bought into and internalized the social conditioning that teaches women (married or not) to do this, with the promise or belief that they will be rewarded on the back end?

They quietly and invisibly do much of the heavy lifting, giving the appearance that they have contributed little to nothing to who HE and the public brand are seen to be, or the wealth that the world believes HE created (alone).

Fueled by the promise of a 'back-end' reward, this arrangement works until it doesn't - insert bitter divorce.

Then you realize you gave away the most sacred parts of yourself for a reward that was never guaranteed.

So, questions like “Why do I think a woman in THIS space hasn't garnered the attention, affiliates, influence, and record sales in a short period of time as some of the men?” are flawed and incomplete in their hypothesis.

Instead of glamourizing the hype, we need to be asking deeper questions like:
❓Why are we still looking to mimic systems that were never meant to exalt us in the first place?
❓What if women stopped competing for scraps of recognition from someone else's model?
❓What if we build our own business ecosystems that honor our seasons of life and our standards of wealth?
❓What if profitability and sustainability didn't require burnout, over-giving, or sacrificing our lives on the altar of "scale"?

The solution isn't slicker stages, louder launches, or mimicking 'bro marketing'. The solution is business models designed by women, for women, that honor women.

Ladies, it is time to Wake Up to the bigger game being played. Time to see the cycles of extraction and exclusion.

Time to opt out of business spaces and systems designed to keep you stuck

It's time to build something else entirely.

Because your work, your business, your mission cannot afford to be distracted and glamoured right now.
