Now, let’s dive deep. Did you know that among the 32 million small businesses in the U.S., only 12% owned by women ever touch the 6-figure mark? More heartbreakingly, a mere 0.5% of black women-owned businesses make it to 6 figures annually.

​Isn't that baffling? Especially when we're in an era where women are spearheading movements, leading corporations, and breaking glass ceilings. As women entrepreneurs, we wield the power to sculpt our own financial destiny. Why is there such a significant income disparity among women entrepreneurs? Why are we not creating our own thriving economy?

Allow me to share an intimate and often overlooked revelation. I've realized that beyond external challenges, our internal battles often hold us back. During my much-needed break, I reflected on the hundreds of consultations I conducted earlier this year and the thousands of women I've supported over the last 23 years. The patterns that emerged were alarming, I call them the Five Fatal Truths. These truths aren’t just statistics. They're the silent secrets and unspoken fears of many women entrepreneurs who are trying to find their foothold in the expansive world of entrepreneurship.

Revealing the Five Fatal Truths

TRUTH #1: Most of the women entrepreneurs I spoke with are crippled by self-doubt, imposter syndrome, or a lack of clear vision. They lack the mindset confidence and assurance required to command premium prices.

TRUTH #2: Most of the women entrepreneurs I spoke with are unclear about their financial goals, they've placed an arbitrary ceiling on their earning potential, and worse, they refuse to strategically create aligned pricing.

​TRUTH #3: Most of the women entrepreneurs I spoke with lack a clear, compelling message that resonates with their ideal client. This leads to low conversion rates and an inability to attract high-quality clients.

TRUTH #4: Most of the women entrepreneurs I spoke with failed to identify a profitable niche or they're trying to serve too broad of a market. This lack of focus results in lost time, energy, and a MASSIVE loss of revenue.

TRUTH #5: Most of the women entrepreneurs I spoke with are stuck in the 'dollars for hours' trap or have an unsustainable business model that leads to a cycle of overworking and underearning.

Recognizing these truths was like shining a flashlight in a dark room. It's not just about identifying problems but about understanding them, feeling them, and then creating strategies to support women in overcoming them.
